“For when they speak great swelling words of emptiness, they allure through the lusts of the flesh, through lewdness, the ones who have actually escaped from those who live in error. 19 While they promise them liberty, they themselves are slaves of corruption; for by whom a person is overcome, by him also he is brought into bondage. 20 For if, after they have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge of the Master and Savior Yahshua Ha Meshiach, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the latter end is worse for them than the beginning. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn from the Kadosh commandment delivered to them.”
I love this scripture; the apostle seemed to be looking down thru the ages to this generation. It seems he could see the condition that plagues this society: a selfish, self-focused and self-indulgent populace. This generation wants to give the Father no time or consideration and expects the Father to be there at his or her beck and call.
The traditional church has thumbed their noses to Almighty Yahveh. There is sin in the church at every turn. The sad thing about it is that too many times the pastors are more interested in their career than the congregation’s salvation. More often, they focus on the consequences of the strong hard message rather the consequences of placation and compromise.
There are the intellectuals that we have to impress with our great swelling words of theology and earthly wisdom. Pastors are taught more psychology, focused on justification for the failures that reign in so many lives. Their focus in far too many cases is on numbers and offering rather than the word of Almighty Yahveh; more interest in the art of pacification rather than the power of deliverance.
Peter talked about the great swelling words that were empty. Empty of what? Empty of the power of the Ruach Ha Kadosh. If there is no power to change lives then there is something wrong with the message. The Gospel o Almighty Yahveh is the power of Yah to Salvation. There has to be deliverance in the message.
Deliverance requires a hungering and thirsting for righteousness and a choice has to be made to seek righteousness with all our heart and soul. Part of seeking righteousness is to eschew evil and cling to what we know to be righteousness And we know what is righteous because we have the Torah (instructions).
Too many times, we are encouraged to not be too concerned with the law (commandments) they were not meant for us they were meant for the Jews. We were freed from the law and do not let anyone put you back into bondage. The only bondage is living in sin. The Torah is not bondage but freedom from the bondage of sin. It teaches us how to live and be free from the power of sin. Yahshua empowers us to live above sin by the power of the Ruach Ha Kadosh.
We are taught not to worry if you give into the flesh on occasion and eat a little pork. You are freed from the law and that was for the Jews. This is a message that has been corrupted and is being taught by corrupt people. Peter stated it clearly, if you are motivated by the desires of the flesh rather than the commandments of Almighty Yahveh then you are corrupt whether you are teacher or layman. Corruption cannot inherit the kingdom of Almighty Yahveh.
Today’s church, in too many cases promote pagan idolatrous holidays and practices such as the birth of Mithra Dec 25th, winter solstice to the pagans, but to the church proclaims it to be Christmas and promote the lie that its Yahshua’s birthday. They not only honor the pagan day but also put false deities in the sanctuaries (Christmas trees). The evergreen tree was a decorated and worshiped as a sacred implement to Mithra, a false deity. The church also promotes the Easter holiday in honor of a fertility goddess. There is no importance given to the commandments not to bring any other deity into His presence.
I believe I need to take time out here and give a Biblical definition of sin. Sin is the transgression of the law. 1 John 3:4 “Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.” Here in 1 John we are given a complete definition of sin, sin is transgression or violation of the law. The same law that we are taught in many of the traditional churches no longer applies to us. The Apostle John is saying that if we ignore the law we are in sin. Too many modern teachers are saying don’t worry about the Law, grace covers all of our sins past present and future. This is a perversion of the Gospel.
1 John 3:5-6 “And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not; whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him.” In my youth, I was taught that if we were in Him we could not sin because our sins no matter how bad the sins were, they would be hidden from Yahveh by the blood of Yahshua. They would be covered by the blood of Yahshua hidden from Almighty Yahveh. Can you understand that this flies in the face of Almighty Yahveh?
This theology not only teaches us to ignore the laws of The Father but also to ignore The Father. You can’t ignore His laws and not ignore Him. When we do what seems right to society rather than what Almighty Yahveh commands we regard iniquity in our hearts because we are in disobedience. Take note that disobedience cost Saul the kingdom of Israel because he, like Ford Motor Co., thought he had a better idea. There are no better ideas than that Almighty Yahveh set forth.
Let us talk about keeping the seventh day Sabbath, the church seems to think they have a better idea. They believe since Yahshua was crucified and resurrected what we should keep is the first day as a Sabbath, ignoring the fact that Almighty Yahveh said remember the seventh day and keep it Kadosh. The church violates the 4th commandment then they wonder why their prayers are not answered. Ps 66:18 “If I regard iniquity in my heart, Almighty Yahveh will not hear.” With no obedience and no repentance continuing to live in transgression the Father will not hear in transgression the Father will not hear your prayers.
To transgress the Sabbath in ignorance is one thing, but to know that first day is not the Sabbath and continue to transgress because it is publicly and politically correct is rebellion and regarding iniquity in your heart and that will cost you big time.
I have a very simple question to ask you. How much time do you devote to honoring Yahveh and how much time do you spend honoring other deities? Sunday worship honors the sun god, Christmas honors Mirthra, and Easter honors Eostra. The most honored false deity is the time we devote to honoring the flesh. How much time do you spend doing what you like to do and honoring the desires of the flesh and seeking to please yourself and how much time do you spend seeking to please the Father honoring the desires of Ruach Ha Kadosh?
It is the tendency of this generation to give Almighty Yahveh the very crumbs of our time and expect The Sovereign of all Heaven and Earth to hear our prayers and answer immediately and not only answer immediately but answer the way we want Him to.
Please hear me, regard iniquity in your heart, be negligent of His will and in serving Him and He will turn His back on you. If you spend your life serving and fulfilling your own desires then you are your deity and Almighty Yahveh will leave you to your deity to bail you out when destruction comes upon you. Who is your deity? I hope Almighty Yahveh. Ezek 20:19-20 “I am Almighty Yahveh your Sovereign; walk in my statues, and keep my judgements, and do them; 20 And hallow my Sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am Almighty Yahveh your Sovereign.” If we take the scripture here for what it says, then we will understand that we are instructed to keep the Sabbath that we may know that Almighty Yahveh is our Sovereign. Then again, He says in Ex 31:13 “Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my Sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Almighty Yahveh that doth sanctify you.”
Do you know that Almighty Yahveh sanctifies you as a Kadosh generation, a chosen people, separated to His service or are you living in a fantasy?
